Resuming the EuroLeague regular season doesn’t make sense to Nando De Colo.

Fenerbahce Beko star guard Nando De Colo said that while he realizes that a potential cancelation of the 2019-2020 EuroLeague will have certain economic ramifications, the health of the players must be put ahead of any scenarios regarding the resumption of the season.

“I have seen that EuroLeague continues to raise the possibility that we will finish the season. It seems incoherent to me. I understand the economic issue. But you have to think about the players. Again, the most important thing is everyone’s health,” De Colo said in an interview with La Voix Du Nord.

The EuroLeague was suspended until further notice on March 12. The Turkish BSL League was postponed indefinitely on March 19, the last basketball championship in Europe to be shut down.

“I bought equipment: a bench, dumbbells and I also follow the advice from afar of my fitness trainer who lives in France,” De Colo, a two-time EuroLeague champion with CSKA Moscow, said on staying in shape during the hiatus.
