The third installment of Euroleague Basketball’s TIME OUT series features the Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv boss, Ioannis Sfairopoulos discussing with Eurohoops chief editor Aris Barkas. The Greek head coach tipped off the conversation with interesting takes on his current team, touched on books, movies and TV series, issued an open invitation to Zeljko Obradovic, and went on concluding with a special message to the next TIME OUT coach to be interviewed, Ergin Ataman.

“We work really hard in one direction. Everybody knows what to do on the court,” he said revealing the recipe behind his success at Maccabi, “All the players understood that they have a big part and a big role in a team. A team is like a big machine with small parts. If you take out one small part, the machine won’t work.”

“Hopefully we will continue this good season,” he mentioned regarding the suspended 2019-20 campaign, “We miss basketball.”

“I like the pressure. I put pressure on myself,” he also pointed out, “Pressure in a good way, a pressure that makes you work harder.”

“How many times have you danced during the quarantine?” he wondered imputing on the upcoming TIME OUT episode with the Anadolu Efes head coach, Ataman.
