Players and coaches of Valencia agreed to give up 4% of their annual salary, the Spanish club announced on Thursday.

The Oranges are the latest Turkish Airlines EuroLeague team entering a special status, in response to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The salary reductions for professional players of the male and female basketball divisions were among the measures implemented in the Total Plan #EstoPasará.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended, Valencia was tied for tenth in Europe’s premier club competition. The 12-16 record left the team one win away from the playoffs. As for ACB, its 12-11 tally was good enough for a four-way tie in seventh place.
