As EuroLeague and domestic league prepare their plans for the next day after the coronavirus crisis, Svetislav Pesic fears some teams might cancel their EuroLeague participation.

Pesic anticipates the return to action but expressed his worry about teams not being ready to compete on nova.rs.

“The ACB league made the decision, changed its system and the competition calendar, 12 teams in two groups, in one place. The same thing will happen with the Euroleague a little later. It will be completed by the end of July. The plan is to bring together all 18 teams (in one place), to play the remaining six rounds, followed by a final 8 format”, said Pesic.

“I don’t know if the system will change in the meantime. I think some teams will quit, they won’t be ready. The (game) dates known, and the Euroleague will decide on May 21. By May 31, the ACB will also decide whether the Spanish Championship will continue,” Pesic added.
