Jan Vesely enhanced the Eurohoops Lockdown series on Instagram Live with a conversation spilling into many topics from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague All-Decade Team to Bogdan Bogdanovic, Zeljko Obradovic, and the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

“It does not bother me because I don’t believe that I deserved to be in the EuroLeague All-Decade Team,” he replied to a question on not making the cut for the 2010-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague All-Decade Team despite landing a spot among the nominated players, “I was happy just to be in the conversation.”

If it was up to him, Bogdanovic would return to Fenerbahce Beko. After including the Sacramento Kings star into his list of favorite former teammates, he did not go through any thinking process picking him as the player he would bring back to Fener.

In addition, Vesely went with Shane Larkin as the most clutch EuroLeague player and Bryant Dunston as the toughest defender to face. He also picked Nikola Milutinov as the player he would like to see in the NBA.

“It was the first time I was watching basketball in the summer instead of playing,” he mentioned stretching into the World Cup he missed and the Czech Republic achieving sixth place, “I really enjoyed how they played and how they surprised everybody.”

Apart from his five favorite former teammates, the 2019 EuroLeague MVP revealed his toughest opponents. Other topics included his son, improving his free throws, his relationship with Fenerbahce fans and his future with the Turkish club, and the differences between EuroLeague and the NBA.
