Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Omri Casspi has been out of action since November, due to persistent knee issues, but could make his return to practice in July as he stated in a recent interview.

“The truth is, I flew to this New York doctor who has very high rates of success in this specific surgery. I did cartilage surgery, it’s a relatively complex process, both because of the recovery from such surgery and the way it heals, but he has 95% success in these operations”, told Casspi when asked to comment on his recovery process.

“I really hope that I will be part of his successes. On July 24, it will be six months since the surgery and that is when I can return. Until July I can’t run or jump. This is the longest time of my life not playing basketball. I only work out in the gym, bike and that’s it”, added Casspi.
