The 2019-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season has been canceled after the licensed teams agreed with CEO Jordi Bartomeu’s opening proposal to do so.
Anadolu Efes, which was holding the top spot in the standings before the hiatus, made an announcement regarding the decision noting that while it was their wish to finish the season by playing as schedules, that scenario was not possible and they put human health above all else.
The club thanked the whole organization – managers, coaches, players, employees, partner and supporters – and sent condolences to all who have been struggling due to COVID-19.
