Panathinaikos president Dimitris Giannakopoulos will hold a press conference on June 3, as he announced through his Instagram account.
Following the cancellation of the 2019-20 EuroLeague season which Panathinaikos opposed on Monday’s teleconference, Giannakopoulos will talk about the financial repercussions of this decision as well as the future of the team both in EuroLeague and the Greek Basket League.
On that note, upon the news of the season cancellation, reports coming from Giannakopoulos-owned media mention that Panathinaikos is once again considering a possible move to Basketball Champions League next season. It remains to be seen what will be the team’s ultimate decision will be in the coming weeks.
