Among the most decorated guards in European basketball history, J.R. Holden stars in the latest installment of Hoop Tales, hosted by Kyle Hines, Tyler Hines, and Mike Martin.

Coming out of Bucknell in 1998, Holden had no idea about overseas basketball. He admitted as much during the lengthy conversation but eventually rushed to the opportunity for a try-out in Latvia. From there went on to capture a couple of EuroLeague titles and several domestic championships. He was also named to the 2000-10 EuroLeague All-Decade Team.

The current Director of Player Personnel for the Brooklyn Nets was destined to shine as a pro far away from home. Below, his full interview, as shared by GTM Family Productions.
