Despite back-to-back injuries and surgeries, Timofey Mozgov is not considering ending his career yet, as his agent Maxim Sharifyanov stated in a recent interview with sports.ru.

As Eurohoops informed this week, Mozgov underwent surgery on his knee and is set to miss up to six months of action, though as Sharifyanov tells, retiring is not an option.

“There is no question of ending a career on the agenda. If he wanted to end his career, he would not undergo a knee surgery. It is too early to talk about the timing of recovery. Everything went well, but the seams have not even been removed yet, so the rehabilitation has not yet begun, ” Sharifyanov told

Mozgov spent the entire 2019-20 season sidelined, both in VTB League and Euroleague (before their ultimate cancelation caused by the coronavirus pandemic). The last time the 33-year-old center played an official game was during the 2017-18 season with the Brooklyn Nets.
