Panathinaikos Athens is making an aggressive push for Argentinian point guard Nicolas Laprovittola according to Eurohoops sources. The player is under a two-year contract with Real Madrid which can be terminated if he finds a deal with another EuroLeague club.
Apart from Panathinaikos, several other clubs are in the mix for Laprovittola.
Laprovittola, 30, averaged 5.0 points, 3.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 13:31 minutes over 23 games of the 2019-2020 EuroLeague. He had 6.0 points, 2.9 assists and 1.6 assists in 15:05 minutes over 26 Spanish ACB League matches.
In 2019, Laprovittola, then with Joventut Badalona, was named ACB MVP.
Panathinaikos is currently also in talks with center Zach Auguste. The Greek powerhouse has already reached deals with guard Nemanja Nedovic and guard Marcus Foster.
