Barthel leaves Bayern after four seasons and officially moves to Fenerbahce

Bayern officially announced the departure of forward/center Danilo Barthel from the club Monday, and the player is headed to Fenerbahce with a two-year contract as Eurohoops had prior reported.

Barthel, 28, spent the previous four seasons with the German club and during the 2019-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season he posted an average of 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 27 games, while his numbers went up to an average of 10.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 25 games in the German BBL League.

UPDATE: Fenerbahce officially announced Barthel’s signing to a two-year deal. Barthel will be joining three more signings of the Turkish club for next season, including Johnathan Hamilton, Edgaras Ulanovas and Dyshawn Pierre.
