The arrival of Sarunas Jasikevicius in Barcelona has left a great impression on Nikola Mirotic, who spoke highly of his coach in a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo.
“I’m a bit surprised at how much he knows about basketball. He is very detailed, he likes to do everything to perfection, he is a demanding coach, I also believe that this team needed someone like him”, tells Mirotic. “We have a good relationship, he has been here for a short time but at the moment everything is going very well. We want to get to know each other better and help each other ”.
Mirotic also spoke about the addition of guard Nick Calathes to the squad and how he feels about the changes ahead of the new season. “We have a good squad from last year, with a new player who is Nick Calathes, with whom I am super impressed. We needed a piece like that ”, Mirotic said. “We have a new coach and assistants… it’s a slightly different environment, with a different spark, more enthusiasm. I hope we find what we lacked last year and that we can give our fans a lot of joy ”, he added.
