Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman would like his side to feature Shane Larkin as soon as possible

Shane Larkin arrived in Istanbul Monday shortly before Anadolu Efes completed the BSL Regular Season Round 5 schedule with a win against Besiktas. Up next, Olympiacos in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 6 action this Friday in Greece.

“Shane Larkin will undergo medical tests tomorrow. We will see about his latest situation,” mentioned head coach Ergin Ataman commenting on his player, “We would like to play him against Olympiacos because we need him.”

“We have a lot of injuries,” he added, “Dogus (Balbay), Tolga (Gecim), (Krunoslav) Simon and (James) Anderson are injured. Sertac (Sanli) has an issue. Therefore, we cannot be on the court with a full roster. We cannot play the game we want to. I am not satisfied with tonight’s performance at all.”

With Larkin out, the Turkish powerhouse was held to a 1-3 start in the 2020-21 EuroLeague season. At the domestic level, Efes is 5-0.
