Fenerbahce Beko coach Igor Kokoskov and six players of the team didn’t travel to Moscow where the Turkish team will play Game 1 (Wednesday 21/4) and Game 2 (Friday 23/4) of the EuroLeague playoff series vs. CSKA, the Turkish club announced.

Big man Jan Vesely, who is recovering from an ankle injury, is the only absent player who is mentioned by name in Fener‘s press release.

Fenerbahce has been going through a coronavirus crisis that has affected multiple members of the team. On Saturday, Fener informed that five players and three members of the coaching staff have tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier in the day, Fenerbahce announced that the team was asked to do extra covid tests upon arriving in Russia, but ultimately that didn’t happen.
