Jan Vesely will be returning to action in Fenerbahce‘s must-win game against CSKA Moscow for Round 3 of the EuroLeague playoffs Wednesday (28/4). Fenerbahce teased Vesely’s return with a tweet and Eurohoops confirmed that the Czech big man will be making his series debut in Game 3.

Vesely, who was a gametime decision, is coming back from an ankle injury that kept him out for more than three weeks and forced him to miss the first two games of the quarterfinals. CSKA won both of the matches at home to take a 2-0 lead in the series, a Final-Four-giving advantage that no team has ever overturned.

Fenerbahce will still be missing head coach Igor Kokoskov and three players in the crucial Game 3. Assistant Erdem Can will be at the helm as acting head coach, a role he also had in Moscow.

Before his injury, Vesely was averaging 13.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 28:35 minutes in EuroLeague. He was instrumental in Fenerbahce finishing the regular season with a 15 – 3 record to secure a playoffs spot.
