Vasilije Micic, Anadolu Efes‘ X-factor on its way to lifting their first-ever EuroLeague trophy was ecstatic after the big win against FC Barcelona on Sunday and looks to enjoy the moment before focusing on the next big goal.

“I’m very happy. I wanna congratulate my teammates and coach Ataman. Many times this year I disagreed with him about what he said at the beginning of the season that we’re gonna win because I always stay on the ground and calm. I’m very happy for all of us that reached this goal”, said the EuroLeague season and Final Four MVP to reporters following the game.

Following this huge feat for Efes, Micic hopes to celebrate with his teammates and coaches “the Balkan way”, as he said, before grounding back to end the season in Turkey on a high note.

“I’m very happy that I play in Turkey because Serbia and Turkey, we have a similar character, a similar way of celebrating so I don’t have to teach them all to celebrate. Balkanian way or Turkish way will be very good tonight”.

“Of course, this cup was important for us, but after a couple of days of celebrating we have to control ourselves and turn ourselves to the Turkish League finals”, added Micic, before the interview got interrupted by his teammates, who chanted for their MVP on their way to the presser room.
