Bayern Munich veteran center Othello Hunter commented on the officiating of the EuroLeague game of his team against AS Monaco by calling it the “worst” he’s ever seen in his 13-year career so far.
Hunter tweeted the following after the match: “Now I know I don’t say much in public about officiating or on social but tonight was the worst I’ve seen in my whole career.” He also tagged EuroLeague Basketball’s Twitter account writing, “EuroLeague I’ll send you the fine money in the morning.” Bayern lost 71 – 94 to Monaco on the road, suffering its second straight EuroLeague loss to drop at 3-6
After his first tweet, Hunter made another saying, “It’s clear that the ego of the head referee [editor’s note: Matej Boltauzer] in this game clouded his judgment. That was disrespectful to my team. We give you’ll too much respect and get fined for saying you was horrible but today I don’t care. Respect the game we love and do better.”
These tweets will most likely land Hunter a fine by EuroLeague Basketball.
