Real Madrid center Vincent Poirier tested positive for coronavirus, the Spanish club announced. He is the fourth member of the team who is down with COVID-19 after head coach Pablo Laso, guard Thomas Heurtel and guard Fabien Causeur.

Poirier has been averaging 7.3 points and 6.2 rebounds over 16 EuroLeague games so far this season, along with 10.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in the Spanish ACB League. He recorded a season-high 24 points in an away win over Murcia 24 hours before Real announced that he tested positive for COVID-19.

Real, currently in second place in the EuroLeague standings, will be without Poirier in the games vs. CSKA Moscow at home (23/12) and Fenerbahce Beko on the road (29/12).
