Real Madrid announced that guard Carlos Alocen tested positive for coronavirus. He becomes the 11th member of the Spanish powerhouse to be hit by COVID-19 after teammates Adam Hanga, Thomas Heurtel, Fabien Causeur, Vincent Poirier, Guerschon Yabusele, Anthony Randolph, Juan Nunez, Sergio Llull, Jeff Taylor and coach Pablo Laso.

EuroLeague has already postponed Real’s game vs. Fenerbahce that was scheduled for Wednesday (29/12).

In the meantime, another Olimpia Milano member tested positive for COVID-19, raising the total number of cases on the team to 11. For a second straight EuroLeague week, Milano won’t compete in EuroLeague since the competition postponed the match of the Italian side vs. ALBA Berlin.

Earlier on Monday (27/12), Panathinaikos Athens announced that one player and one member of the coaching staff are out with coronavirus and join two members of the Greens that tested positive last week. Four players and four staff members of ASVEL are also hit by COVID-19.
