Panathinaikos, Efes and Olympiacos requested suspension of their upcoming Round 19 games in Euroleague due to COVID-19 cases

EuroLeague Basketball announced that three games from Round 19 have been suspended. Panathinaikos (road game vs ALBA), Efes (home game vs Bayern), and Olympiacos (road game vs Zalgiris) requested the postponements.

Per Euroleague Basketball:

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 19 games ALBA Berlin vs. Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, Anadolu Efes Istanbul vs. FC Bayern Munich and Zalgiris Kaunas vs. Olympiacos Piraeus, originally scheduled to be played on Thursday, January 6, and Friday January 7, have been suspended. Panathinaikos, EFES and Olympiacos requested the suspension after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves them without the minimum eight players on the Authorization List fit to play.

Following the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times, if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with the affected teams the best options to reschedule the games. Alternative dates will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms.
