Zenit St. Petersburg won the VTB United League championship, and coach Xavi Pascual is staying until further notice in Russia having a contract, but his backcourt is already on the move. Billy Baron is Milan-bound and Jordan Loyd has already signed a two-year contract with Monaco.

The US guard is leaving Russia after a stellar season, making strides in his career in Europe after Valencia (2019-20) and Crvena Zvezda (2020-21). Loyd will have a lucrative salary around the one million mark and his contract includes opt-out clauses for both sides.

The same applies to Donta Hall, who has been instrumental this season in Monaco’s success and has also accepted Monaco’s offer for a three-year contract which also includes opt-out clauses for both sides.

The EuroLeague newcomers have also secured the signing of John Brown and currently, the big issue for them remains the extension of Mike James’ contract. James had his best season yet in the EuroLeague, he was an MVP candidate and he is a free agent with the NBA being a possible destination for him.

French outlet BeBasket first reported the interest of Monaco for Jordan Loyd.
