The ELPA Players Choice Awards are concluded with the selection of the Best Young Player, Best Defender and, of course, the MVP

The EuroLeague Players Association annual awards come to a conclusion Friday with the selection of the last three categories: Most Valuable Player, Best Young Player, and Best Defender.

The ELPA members have picked Barcelona’s Rokas Jokubaitis as the best performing young player (U-22) for the second year straight.

UNICS’ John Brown made his second appearance in this year’s voting after landing the Best Newcomer award Wednesday, to be named the Best Defender, as the most dominant defensive player with the biggest impact on his team.

Last but not least, the ELPA members have voted Monaco’s Mike James as the Most Valuable Player of the year, for his exceptional individual performances this past season.

  • Most Respected Player – Kyle Hines
  • Best Newcomer – John Brown
  • Fair Play Award – Luke Sikma
  • Best 6th Man – Will Clyburn
  • Most Clutch Player – Vasilije Micic
  • Most Improved Player – Nicolas Laprovittola
  • Best Young Player – Rokas Jokubaitis
  • Best Defender – John Brown
  • MVP – Mike James
