Crvena Zvezda is showing strong interest in acquiring former NBA champion Kostas Antetokounmpo from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, according to Eurohoops sources.
Antetokounmpo, 24, spent the 2021-22 season with ASVEL and lifted the French League championship, while he averaged 4.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 11 minutes across 21 games. In his first EuroLeague campaign, Antetokounmpo tapped an average of 5.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13 minutes across 26 contests.
Greek side Olympiacos is also a suitor for the Greek big, sources confirm.
Antetokounmpo was selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and began his NBA journey with the Dallas Mavericks in 2018-19. He was part of the Los Angeles Lakers squad that lifted the 2020 NBA title.
Crvena Zvezda has had an active offseason so far, with the additions of head coach Vlada Jovanovic, Nemanja Nedovic, and Hassan Martin.
