The latest new player for Panathinaikos OPAP is Arturas Gudaitis

Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis has joined Panathinaikos OPAP signing a one-year contract the team announced Wednesday confirming Eurohoops’ report on the deal a couple of days ago.

Per the press release:Panathinaikos OPAP announces the signing of Arturas Gudaitis (29, 2.08 meters) on a contract for the upcoming season.

Gudaitis is a basketball player, born on June 19, 1993, in Klaipėda, Lithuania. He is a center who last played for Napoli Basket. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 47th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft.

On 6 August 2013, Gudaitis signed a professional contract with Zalgiris Kaunas for two years and he won 2 Lithuanian Leagues.

On 2 July 2015, he signed a 2+1 contract with Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius.

On 12 September 2017, Gudaitis signed with Olimpia Milano. On 25 February 2018, Gudaitis extended his contract that would keep him with the team until the end of the 2020–21 season. He won the Italian championship in 2018 and the Italian Supercup in 2017 and 2018.

On 10 July 2020 Gudaitis moved to Russian club Zenit of the VTB United League and the EuroLeague on a two-year deal. He finished the season with the Italian team Napoli Basket.

In 2015 Gudaitis was included in the Lithuania men’s national basketball team head coach Jonas Kazlauskas’ extended candidates list and was invited to the training camp. He represented the primary Lithuania national team during the EuroBasket 2017 for the first time and averaged 4.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists.”
