After getting injured in the Spanish SuperCopa final, Rudy Fernandez had surgery today on his right hand and he will miss the start of the season. While an official timetable for his return has not been announced yet, Rudy is expected to miss the whole month of October.

Per the press release: “After the tests carried out on Rudy Fernández, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the articular disc of the wrist of his right hand. Today our player has successfully undergone an arthroscopy under the supervision of Real Madrid Medical Services. Rudy will begin his recovery process shortly”.

Rudy Fernandez is coming from a stellar Eurobasket tournament, where he had the role of the veteran leader of the team which managed against initial predictions to win the trophy. While this injury may slow down his momentum, on the other hand, he will have the chance to recover after a really demanding tournament.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is also missing another veteran, Adam Hanga, who was injured during the Eurobasket while playing for the Hungarian national team.
