Big news for Virtus Bologna ahead of another challenging road game in the EuroLeague

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

After their seventh defeat in Belgrade against Crvena Zvezda mts, Virtus Segafredo Bologna will travel to Piraeus for the Round 12 game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague against Olympiacos (Friday, 9/12) and is expected to be reinforced with Tornike Shengelia and Semi Ojeleye.

As the Italian press stated, after missing the loss to the defending Serbian champions, Shengelia and Ojeleye recovered and should be in contention for the game in Greece.

Tornike Shengelia has played in only 2 EuroLeague games this season, averaging 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. Newcomer Ojeleye averaged 10.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 10 games.

Milos Teodosic won’t be able to help the team since he got suspended for getting into the face of the referees during the final moments of Round 10 against Anadolu Efes. Virtus appeal was rejected, and the veteran playmaker already served the first part of the two-game suspension, missing the match against Crvena Zvezda.

Virtus Bologna is in 14th place in EuroLeague with four wins and seven losses and is currently on a three-game losing streak while still being undefeated in the Legabasket (9-0).
