Entering the extensive list of unavailable Zalgiris players, Isaiah Taylor will be sidelined for around three weeks.

The team based in Kaunas updated his status Monday morning.

Per the press release: Zalgiris Kaunas will have to deal without Isaiah Taylor for the foreseeable future, as the guard suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s battle against Wolves Alytus.

In second leg of the King Mindaugas Cup Quarterfinals series, Taylor went down in the fourth quarter after a sudden pain in his leg. He left the game immediately and could not continue.

Having undergone testing on Monday, Taylor was diagnosed with a hamstring injury that is set to keep him out of action for around three weeks.

He scored 14 points and dished 6 assists in a 91-72 victory against Wolves.”

Zalgiris along with Rytas, 7bet-Lietkabelis, and CBet moved into the Final Four of the Citadel KMT.

Coming up next on the schedule is visiting Panathinaikos in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 21 Thursday. The team coached by Kazys Maksvytis carries a four-game winning streak in Athens, part of a total of eight wins in a row across all competitions since the start of 2023.

Taylor, 28, joined the team shortly after the launch of the streak. Averaging 4.7 points, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 rebounds per game paint the picture on his first three EuroLeague outings as a member of Zalgiris. The former Texas standout recorded 11 games played with Anadolu Efes earlier in the 2022-23 Regular Season. In Lithuania’s domestic competitions, he averaged 11.0 points, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 rebounds per contest over two appearances.

Looking to recover, the American point guard shifts to the sidelines alongside Tyler Cavanaugh (back), Keenan Evans (Achilles), and Dovydas Giedraitis (illness).
