Season in European basketball is ending, there are only domestic playoffs left to be played or finished, and transfer rumors are starting to get more frequent.

With playoffs in Turkey coming up, Anadolu Efes made an official announcement to clear out the stories about their coaching staff and players.

Due to the news of head coach and player transfers shared by media outlets recently, our club feels the need to inform the public.

At the moment, there are no official transfers in question. As always, our club will inform our fans via our website and official social media accounts when such developments occur.

The current focus of our club is on the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League playoffs and winning the 16th championship in this organization“, per official Anadolu Efes‘ statement.

Efes‘s head coach Ergin Ataman has an agreement in place to continue his career with Panathinaikos, while Pablo Laso and Xavi Pascual were mentioned as the options to replace him at Istanbul’s team bench, and Giannis Sfairopoulos also revealed that there’s a possibility of him joining EuroLeague champions from 2021 and 2022.

Anadolu Efes finished the season in EuroLeague without making it to the playoffs and will enter the Super Lig quarterfinals as the third seed from the regular season standings.
