After a few days of negotiations, Nigel Williams-Goss officially returns to Olympiacos as the club announced with a two year deal which will pay him around two million euros.

Williams-Goss, 28, was released from the Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Since departing from the Reds in 2019, he went from logging 11 games played in the NBA with the Utah Jazz in the 2019-20 season to eventually returning to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague via Spain’s capital. Success at Madrid was highlighted by winning the EuroLeague championship in Kaunas last May. He was also crowned ACB champion in 2021 and Supercopa champion in both 2021 and 2022.

The veteran of 85 appearances in Europe’s premier club continental competition put in 7.4 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 rebounds per contest over 26 appearances this season, including 23 starts. A key player for head coach Chus Mateo, delivering a clutch performance in pivotal Game 3 of the Playoffs series versus Partizan Mozzart Bet, added 6.4 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game in Spain’s Liga Endesa.

The former Gonzaga and Washington standout was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 55th overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft. In his first professional campaign, he turned heads with Partizan and ended up at Olympiacos for the following 2018-19 season. After the spell with the Jazz, he joined Lokomotiv Kuban midway through the 2020-21 season, five months before moving his talents to Los Blancos.
