Shabazz Napier and Crvena Zvezda are close to finalizing a two-year deal, as reported by Eurohoops sources from Serbia. Daniele Labanti was the first to report about the ongoing negotiations between the two parties.

The 32-year-old American playmaker is coming off an impressive debut EuroLeague season with Milan, where he averaged 15.0 points and 3.9 assists per game.

Napier played for six years in the NBA, representing the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Washington Wizards, before moving to Europe and signing with Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Unfortunately, he suffered an unfortunate injury at the beginning of his time in Russia. However, he ultimately proved his worth in the EuroLeague under the guidance of Ettore Messina last season. He excelled in the elite continental competition and even helped his team, Olimpia Milano, secure a victory in the Italian League.

Meanwhile, Olimpia Milano is reportedly on the brink of signing Maodo Lo, which aligns with Shabazz Napier’s departure from the club.

On the other hand, Crvena Zvezda has already secured the services of Dejan Davidovac, Milos Teodosic, Adam Hanga, and Marko Simonovic. However, the team has seen several players leave, including Luca Vildoza and Facundo Campazzo.
