In the past few days, Milos Teodosic left Virtus Bologna to join Crvena Zvezda. The Serbian phenomenon, however, could be just the first of two black-and-white players moving to the red-and-white powerhouse in Belgrade.

According to Corriere di Bologna, in fact, Crvena Zvezda is interested in Tornike Shengelia. The Georgian superstar appears to be Dusko Ivanovic’s second option if Nikola Mirotic eventually signs somewhere else, like Partizan Belgrade.

Virtus Bologna, according to the Italian newspaper, doesn’t directly intend to put Tornike Shengelia on the market, but his departure could make the black-and-white club reserve at least 3 million euros. The 31-year-old is coming off a EuroLeague Regular Season with 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

The former Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, and Baskonia big man could become the latest of several additions to the red-and-white team, following Dejan Davidovac, Milos Teodosic, Adam Hanga, Marko Simonovic, Rokas Giedraitis, Joel Bolomboy, Mike Tobey, and Shabazz Napier.

Since moving to Virtus Bologna at the beginning of 2022, leaving CSKA Moscow alongside Daniel Hackett following the start of the war in Ukraine, the Georgian power forward helped Sergio Scariolo’s team win the EuroCup and the Italian SuperCup.
