Virtus Bologna underwent a sudden change in head coach before the start of the season, with Luca Banchi stepping in to replace Sergio Scariolo. The Italian Supercup champions have further bolstered their coaching staff with the addition of Lassi Tuovi.
As the Legabasket season kicks off, the club has assembled a technical staff to support Coach Banchi, with Tuovi taking on the new first assistant coach role.
The former Strasbourg coach will maintain his position at the helm of the Finnish national team, a role he’s held since 2022, having previously led the team in the FIBA World Cup and EuroBasket.
With Tuovi on board, Virtus has finalized its coaching staff:
Head coach: Luca Banchi
Assistant coaches: Lassi Tuovi, Alberto Seravalli, Cristian Fedrigo
Development coach: Iacopo Squarcina
Scouting: Matteo Cassinerio
Physical trainers: Matteo Panichi, Emanuele Tibiletti
Physician: Diego Rizzo
Physiotherapists: Luca Cornazzani, Andrea Ferlini, Cristian Sabbioni
Team Manager: Tommaso Bergamini.
