Moving overseas for the first time in his career, Kendrick Nunn will suit up for Panathinaikos, his fourth professional team and the first one out of the United States, marking soon his debut in the EuroLeague. He’s not available for the upcoming game against Barcelona, but the American guard looks forward to the challenge.
Talking to the Greek EuroLeague powerhouse’s official website, the 28-year-old commented on his new chapter. “I am really very excited about the new page that is opening in my career. I am coming to a great club, to a wonderful country, Greece, and to a beautiful city, Athens. Panathinaikos is a team with a winning mentality and I can’t wait to play for them”, he first said.
As importantly recommended by Malcolm Delaney in the first episode of the new EurohooPOD edition, the former Miami Heat player appeared to have made his homework. “I know some things. I have managed to see some matches of Panathinaikos. They are a really, really good team. I know some of my new teammates. I look forward to meeting them, as well as my new coach. I want to help the team in any way I can to achieve their goals”, Kendrick Nunn added.

Looking forward to the EuroLeague challenge, he only has one goal in mind. “I want to win at the highest level. This is my mentality and it fits perfectly with that of Panathinaikos. I don’t want to promise anything. I will give it my all in every practice and every game. With my leadership skills and experience, I aspire to help the team win. As I mentioned above, I want victories but also to win titles with Panathinaikos”, he also commented.
Bringing to the team “a lot of three-pointers, some impressive phases, and definitely tough defenses”, Kendrick Nunn finally explained his decision to join Panathinaikos. “I spoke with the coach and received positive vibes. I felt really good. The coach really likes fast basketball and tough defense. I think my own style of play suits them. Panathinaikos is a team with high goals, just like me. I can’t wait to start working with my new team”, the former Los Angeles Lakers guard stated.
