Olimpia Milano is facing a challenging season, and the situation is becoming even more difficult with injuries piling up.

The Italian champions officially declared that the injuries to Nikola Mirotic and Maodo Lo will require longer recovery periods than initially expected.

Maodo Lo reported an injury to the adductor muscle of his left thigh, which will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

As for Nikola Mirotic, after undergoing instrumental investigations and specialist consultation following the flare-up of left Achilles tendinopathy, the player has undertaken, in agreement with the club, a six-week rehabilitation program, at the end of which he will be re-evaluated,” as per the press release from Milano.

Mirotic averaged 17.6 points with 6.2 rebounds for a PIR of 19.6 in the 11 games he played before the injury. Lo played 10 matches, averaging 9.9 points with 3.5 assists for a PIR of 10.7.

Ettore Messina also can’t count on Billy Baron, who is due to return in mid-December, while Kevin Pangos has not played since Round 5 and was openly criticized by the experienced Italian coach.

Olimpia Milano is currently 4-9 in the EuroLeague and 6-5 in Legabasket.
