Disciplinary action regarding incidents in Round 21 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season lands on Partizan Mozzart Bet.

The team based in Belgrade was issued a fine of 5,000 euros, Euroleague Basketball announced on Tuesday.

Per the press release: “PARTIZAN MOZZART BET BELGRADE has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000, due to the throwing of objects onto the playing court on occasion of its home game against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv under Article 29.2.h) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

Reacting to the fine, Partizan appealed to fans to ‘concentrate’ on the team playing and avoid ‘harming’ the club. It also confirmed intentions to continue investigating video footage and ‘identify’ the people responsible for the ‘isolated incidents’ occurring in the most recent home game at the continental level.

Storming back versus Maccabi improved the overall W-L tally to 11-10 on Friday. The team coached by Zeljko Obradovic currently fits in the Play-In zone and sits one game behind the top six spots leading to a direct berth in the Playoffs. The next EuroLeague challenge is in Greece with Obradovic facing his former team Panathinaikos Aktor on Friday.

On Monday, Partizan defeated Cibona in Drazen Petrovic Basketball Hall and went up to 12-4 in the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season. Trailing rival Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet by two games, it ranks second in the regional league. Moving to Round 17 of the ABA League, Mega MIS in Stark Arena is up next on Monday.
