French big man Moustapha Fall and Olympiacos have agreed to a contract extension that will keep the “Crocodile” as he is nicknamed inside the team in Pireaus for three more seasons, since his previous deal would expire in the summer of 2025.

The official announcement was shared on Friday, confirming the timeline set by sources from both sides involved in the talks to Eurohoops.

“I am very proud to announce that I will defend this jersey for three more years,” Fall wrote in a post shared on Instagram, “Since I came to this club, I have felt that this is my home. I want to thank all the people who are part of this great winning club. To the organization for giving me this opportunity, the staff and the fans who every day show us their support to achieve all our goals.”

Under the new deal, Fall’s buyout clause for the upcoming summer is abandoned and his annual salary for the next three seasons will be well over the one million euros mark.

Fall has been a key member of the modern Olympiacos era since 2021 when he signed with the team, emerging as one of the top big men in Europe.

Last February, Fall won his third consecutive Greek Cup with the team. He recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in the final and was named the tournament’s MVP.

He has also won two Greek championship titles and participated in two EuroLeague Final Fours.

As a member of the French national team he has won a silver medal in the Olympics and the Eurobasket.

Before joining Olympiacos in Greece, he had also played in France, Turkey and Russia. However Olympiacos is the first team to give the 32 years old player such long-term deals.
