Fenerbahce Beko secured a road win over Monaco to start the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoff series, but some injuries have left them concerned.

Tarik Biberovic and Scottie Wilbekin were injured during the match at Gaston Medecin Hall, and their availability for the second clash will be decided at game time, Fenerbahce announced.

The same goes for Johnathan Motley, who has been sidelined with a calf injury.

Fenerbahce started the series in the best possible way, securing a road win over Monaco, led by EuroLeague Game 1 MVP Nigel Hayes-Davis.

“After a great win in the first game, we need to have a total reset and we need to match the physicality and the wish off of Monaco,” stressed Sarunas Jasikevicius, “For sure, they want to make the series 1-1. We need to also understand the things that we did good in the first game and how we didn’t do well. The game plan will be the same more or less; just to keep things more difficult for their guards and battle the physicality of the inside game and to continue giving a different looks to the opponent.”

“Game 2 is just as important if not more important than game one,” added Nate Sestina, “We’ve kind of talked about it, it’s a desperate basketball game for for them as well. We need to have a level of focus that surpasses last game, pay attention to details, fine tune everything, and come in really ready to go with more focus than Game 1.”
