Dealing with an injury in his left foot, Shane Larkin will not play for Anadolu Efes against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old guard was hurt during Round 24 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, in an away fixture opposite Olympiacos on Friday. He sat out Round 17 of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season, before being also ruled out of Round 25 of the EuroLeague Regular Season.

Currently the main focus of the medical staff, the experienced floor general is considered questionable for Round 26. Bouncing back into action on Thursday, the team coached by Luca Banchi will return to Greece and clash with defending champion Panathinaikos Aktor in OAKA Altion.

A two-time champion with Efes, Larkin started his eighth expedition in the EuroLeague with 10.1 points, 4.5 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 steals over 15 appearances, including five starts. His efforts in the domestic league have translated into 14.0 points, 6.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game over five appearances.

Also on the injury list of Efes, 18-year-old Salih Altuntas will remain sidelined for several more months, a few days into rehab from surgery in his left ankle.

Moving to the next double-game week of Europe’s premier club continental competition, the status of Stanley Johnson (personal) is unclear.

With 11 wins across 24 out of 34 team outings in the EuroLeague Regular Season, the Istanbul-based club is two games outside the Play-In Showdown zone.
