Barcelona star guard Kevin Punter will be out for the next three weeks, the club announced.
Punter was injured during the Copa del Rey quarterfinal loss of Barca to Tenerife, suffering an “exacerbation of severe tendinopathy” of the biceps in his left shoulder. He will undergo conservative treatment.
According to the timeline of his recovery, Punter will definitely miss the EuroLeague clasico vs. Real Madrid (27/2) and is doubtful for the away game at ALBA Berlin (7/3).
So far in the 2024-25 EuroLeague, Punter is Barcelona’s leading scorer with 16.5 points along with 3.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds. The Blaugrana are 14-2 and tied with Partizan Belgrade and Olimpia Milano for eighth in the standings.
