Barcelona’s season hasn’t been as bright as expected, but a player is delivering according to the expectations. Kevin Punter has become the team’s go-to guy in his first season in Catalunya.
Everyone knows that in the final moments, he will have the ball for the last possessions, being obviously also the man to look for in the other minutes of the game. Averaging 16.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in the EuroLeague, he has been the guy to watch on Joan Penarroya’s team.
Interviewed by the team’s official TV, Barca One, he revealed he would like to stay for a long period of time. “Most definitely. I’ve thought about it, I’ve asked myself some questions. But definitely, for sure, 100%,” he answered when asked if he would like to extend his stay for a little more.

He also elaborated on what he liked the most about the city. “The weather is immaculate. Being from New York, it’s always cold, especially in the wintertime,” he commented.
“I can’t complain at all, everything’s great. One thing I’ve learned with successful teams, the longer the stay together is the better” Kevin Punter added.
At the moment, the former Partizan Belgrade captain is recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered against Tenerife in the Copa del Rey, when they lost in the Quarter-Finals.
