Partizan delivered one of its best first-half performances of the season, dominating Baskonia in every aspect of the game. However, the visitors mounted a dangerous late push.

Still, Partizan prevailed.

Zeljko Obradović’s team managed to stay in control and improved to 15-12 with an 86-73 victory over Pablo Laso’s side at Belgrade Arena.

Baskonia trailed by 25 points in the second quarter but fought back to make it 74-69 in the fourth. Isaiah Mike then hit two crucial three-pointers, helping Partizan clinch another important victory.

In Carlik we trust

Carlik Jones led the way for the Serbian team with 21 points, six rebounds, and six assists, while Sterling Brown followed with 19 points.

I feel great. We had some time off, and I’m glad to be back on the court with these guys. We had a fantastic first half, a slower second, and I would have liked us to win more convincingly, but they went on a run. We managed to control it and secure the victory, which is the most important thing,” said Carlik Jones after the game.

On the other side, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot and Nikos Rogkavopoulos scored 11 points each, while Trent Forrest and Luka Šamanić added 10 apiece.

Markus Howard had seven points in just seven minutes before suffering an injury early in the final quarter—right after hitting two big three-pointers to cut the deficit to single digits.

The most important thing was how we would respond after the break, and we did well. I congratulate my players on the victory and a good game. Baskonia showed that they have many weapons inside and that they fight until the end. This is the EuroLeague, but I believe we deserved to win,” said Željko Obradović.
