Panathinaikos Athens has already signed center Mathias Lessort and forward Juancho Hernangomez to contract extension deals and is now looking to make another similar move with one of the team’s superstars.

According to Sotiris Vetakis, Panathinaikos has made a three-year renewal offer of more than $11 million to guard Kendrick Nunn. The American player’s current deal with the Greens is set to expire in 2026 (NBA out clause included) and the club is looking to sign him to an extension that will be active starting from the next season so that it spans until 2028.

A key condition that Panathinaikos includes in the offer is the absence of an NBA out clause so that the team will secure Nunn’s presence at least for the next three seasons.

Panathinaikos had recent talks with Nunn’s agent and the management of the club is optimistic that Nunn will accept the offer.

Nunn officially signed a contract extension with Panathinaikos until 2026 last May and while the team punched the ticket to the EuroLeague Final Four during the playoffs vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv. The former NBAer had 27 points plus five rebounds and 26 points in the Game 4 and 5 wins respectively to push his team to the tournament.

Panathinaikos went on to win the seventh EuroLeague championship title in Berlin with Nunn posting 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the Final Four.

Nunn joined Panathinaikos in October 2024 and emerged as one of the most elite players in the EuroLeague, making the All First Team. This season he’s posting 20.7 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds and is among the frontrunners for MVP.
