Oscar da Silva had successful surgery in his right knee and will remain sidelined for several weeks.

Before focusing on Round 28 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season and enjoying a win against Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet in SAP Garden, FC Bayern Munich updated the injury status of the 26-year-old forward and also noted the fellow member of the injury list, Devin Booker progressed to light training.

Per the press release: “Bayern’s basketball team will have to continue without Oscar da Silva: The 26-year-old national player suffered a medial ligament injury in his right knee during the EuroLeague game in Paris a week ago and underwent successful surgery in Munich this Wednesday. As a result, the power forward will definitely be out for the coming weeks.

Devin Booker is currently sidelined with a similar injury; the American has resumed light training this week.

Da Silva was recently part of the defending German champion’s starting lineup. In the domestic league, the Munich-born player averaged nearly 20 minutes of playing time (6.8 PPG), while in the EuroLeague, he played around 16 minutes per game (5.0 PPG / 3.0 RPG).

FC Bayern Basketball wishes Oscar a speedy recovery.”

Picking up a win on Thursday, the team coached by Gordon Herbert improved to 17-11. With six games left in the schedule of the Regular Season, the German club is tied with AS Monaco in fourth place, 3.5 games away from leader Olympiacos and one game safe inside the top-six zone leading directly to the 2025 Playoffs.
