Former Panathinaikos player Marcus Denmon has been charged with armed robbery in Oklahoma, as reported by KSHB and several other U.S. news outlets.

Court documents reveal that Denmon, along with Malik Denmon, allegedly “ambushed” a woman while she was loading bags into her vehicle.

The two suspects fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Malibu, taking the victim’s belongings, including between $15,000 and $16,000 in cash.

Denmon has waived his right to extradition, agreeing to return to Oklahoma to face the charges filed on February 28. A judge has set his bond at $50,000.

The 34-year-old, who last played for Tofaş in Turkey, played for Panathinaikos in the 2017/18 season and also donned the jerseys of Elan Chalon, Brindisi, Gaziantep, Petkim, and Peristeri in European basketball. He also became a Greek champion in 2018 and was the Greek League Top Scorer in 2023.
