Olimpia Milano has announced that Leandro Bolmaro suffered a fracture of the nasal bones with a deviation of the septum during practice.
The injury was confirmed after medical examinations, which determined the extent of the damage.
As a result, Bolmaro will have to undergo specialist treatment to address the injury. The club has not yet provided a timeline for his recovery.
Bolmaro joined Olimpia Milano last summer, and so far, he has recorded 25 EuroLeague appearances with the Italian team, averaging 6.9 points, 3.1 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
Ettore Messina’s side needs to win its last two games of the EuroLeague regular season to keep its postseason hopes alive, as they are two wins behind the Top 10. Therefore, Bolmaro’s injury is another blow to their playoff push.
