After more than two months on the sidelines due to a knee injury, Jan Vesely returned to Barcelona’s lineup for the Regular Season finale against Virtus Bologna.

He contributed nine points, two rebounds, and two assists in a crucial victory that helped Barcelona secure fifth place in the final standings and advance directly to the playoffs, where the Catalan team will face Monaco.

The experienced Czech center shared his thoughts on the season and the challenges ahead.

A lot of things happened this year, we kept fighting. Now we are in the playoffs, and the real season is starting. We have to recover and play the playoffs,” Vesely said after returning to the court just in time for the postseason.

The former EuroLeague champion had been a key player for Joan Pennaroya’s team before the injury, finishing the Regular Season with averages of 9.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2 assists.
