Cedi Osman penned a two-year contract extension with Panathinaikos Aktor.
The Greens officially confirmed a deal with the 30-year-old Turkish forward on Tuesday.
“I feel truly blessed to remain here for another two years, with a team that competes for titles every season,” Osman commented on extending his contract until the end of the 2026-27 season, per the press release, “This is a legendary club, with great people, outstanding coaches, and exceptional players. I genuinely feel blessed and happy to be here!”
“Of course, the fans play a huge role in all of this. From the very first moment I arrived, I was impressed! Everything is amazing,” he addressed the loyals of the storied Greek club, “We love them, and we know they love us too! I am truly happy to continue playing for them as well.”
In the Playoffs of the 2024-25 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Osman will face his former team, Anadolu Efes, in a best-of-five series for a ticket to Abu Dhabi in the Final Four 2025. In addition to the defense of the EuroLeague championship, his side is also looking for back-to-back Stoiximan GBL championships after advancing to the Semifinals of the Playoffs on Monday.
“Obviously, my goal is to win as many titles as possible. Above all, of course, the EuroLeague title,” noted Osman, “That is the only thing on my mind! Starting, of course, with this season…”
A veteran of 496 NBA games, he returned to Europe and inked a one-year contract with Panathinaikos last September.
