Being out of action since December 2024, suffering a long-time fibula fracture injury, Mathias Lessort still hasn’t fully recovered, spending time on the sidelines, always showing support for his team.
With the EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi approaching, Panathinaikos will be glad to have him on board for the two most important games of the season as reigning champions: the Semi-Finals against Fenerbahce and, in case of winning, the Final against one of Olympiacos and AS Monaco.
However, the French center is still uncertain about his status heading to the most anticipated weekend of the year, scheduled to take place from May 23-25.
“I don’t know. We’ll see when the time comes for the Final Four. I’m preparing for it. But we’ll see. I don’t know. I don’t have an answer right now,” he commented about his possible participation, guest of the presentation of the Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament.
Key factor in last year’s victory for the Greek powerhouse at the 2024 Final Four in Berlin, the experienced center was averaging 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game before his injury.
