Greek forward Ioannis Papapetrou didn’t want to dwell on what happened on Wednesday with the team bus, focusing on the upcoming semifinal

The bus incident in Abu Dhabi with Panathinaikos‘ driver mixing things up made headlines, but one day later, it was already forgotten.

As Panathinaikos forward Ioannis Papapetrou said, talking to Greek portal Sport24: “Okay, we didn’t suffer too much, it was just one more twist. We laughed a little, got there, and practiced. In the end, it wasn’t anything big.”

After all, Panathinaikos wants to be back-to-back champions, and that was just a footnote.

As Papapetrou stated, when asked about the belief of coach Ergin Ataman on winning back-to-back titles: “We believe that too. You reach the Final Four, and it’s not easy. You’re two games away from the trophy, and you have to bleed to get to the title. The team is in its best condition. We’re all behind the coach. We’re here to claim the trophy, and we have to show it on the court.”
